General care and application advice
| Above 240oC the adhesive eventually degrades and is reduced to a white silica powder. | |
| Store in a dark dry atmosphere at 15-25oC and 45–70% relative humidity. | |
| Always apply to dry, cool, clean surfaces which are free of grease and or solvents. | |
| Avoid applying adhesive tapes to rough, pitted, dimpled surfaces. Air pockets become trapped beneath the adhesive. Heat causes expanding air tape to rise. | |
| Silicone
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive is often dry to the
touch. The 'tack' of an adhesive is not an indication
of peel strength. Bisca-Stic adhesive tapes should
be applied evenly but firmly. |
|
|
Where the fabric
is expected to remain in place for long periods
(i.e. up to several years) the adhesives can
be further stabilized by heat treatment on installation.
This system is usually used with our material
in roll covering applications (paper and textile
industries), and in platen covering, where inherent
heating is on hand.
