Belt Dimensions

Wherever possible pulleys should be 30-50mm wider than the belt width, with similar clearance of other equipment features. Belt length should be measured with the tensioning device set in the middle of its travel. A flexible steel rule or non-stretching cord or wire can be used. If measuring a used belt, ensure that it has not shrunk or stretched and that any damage or repairs are taken into account. The used belt must be laid out straight and flat before measuring. Check dimensions several times.
