Belts Supports
Conventional rollers are fully adequate as support for Biscor belts, but at high temperatures, bearings give trouble. In such cases use static chevron supports. If at high loading densities the belt 'falls through' spaced supports such as rollers and chevrons, reduce the support spacing or use a flat bed support. For Silicone rubber belts, it may be necessary to lay friction-reducing strips of PTFE on a flat bed. (This is also a useful aid to running conventional PVC or rubber belts on flat beds). The return belt strand may be supported with round bar or tube, appropriately spaced.
